Illustration for Akademi Magazine
Akademi is an upcoming print publication dedicated to culture, politics and criticism. For Mayukh Sen's review of the film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, titled 'Fight & Flight', Akademi commissioned me to create an illustration for their online magazine and Instagram carousel.
The film talks about the journey of Gunjan Saxena, who is among the first female pilots in the Indian Air Force, and the review speaks of the ramifications of the film on the current cultural and political climate of India. This illustration was made to channelise these aspects of the film and its review in the form of a collage.
