This Chair with tablet was designed for the course 'Simple Furniture Design'. It is my first attempt at designing and building furniture, and I tried to keep the design as simple as possible.
The brief I chose was to design a chair for an informal conference room like a design or advertising agency. The wooden seat and backrest ensure comfortable seating even in airconditioned rooms. The tablet can be used for reading, writing or even using a small laptop.
Horizontal pivoting of tablet ensures that one does not need to move things that are kept on the tablet.

The chair is made up of 6 bent MS pipes that can be easily assembled. Chill pine wood planks have been used for the backrest, seat, armrest and tablet.
I used a ball bearing to facilitate the horizontal pivoting of the tablet.
