This Pentagonal Stool was designed as part of a course on material exploration and joinery. I have used various materials like Teak wood, MS pipes in square and round sections as well as a PVC rod. I have done the weaving of the seat myself with jute cords.
As part of joinery exploration, I have experimented with half lap joints, tenon and mortise joints, allen bolts, and metal plate and screw joineries. This helped me realise which ones are stronger and which are beneficial for what kind of materials.
