Before starting a successful career in otolaryngology, Dr. Frank Brettschneider attended the Ferris State University College of Pharmacy, graduating as valedictorian. He was also the recipient of the Upjohn Award of Excellence in Pharmacy. Dr. Brettschneider earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University, where he graduated in the top 5 percent of the class. He then performed an internship with the American Osteopathic Association at Michigan State’s Mount Clemens General Hospital. Dr. Brettschneider remained at the hospital to complete his training with a residency in otolaryngology and oro-facial plastic surgery.
Over the past two decades, Dr. Frank Brettschneider has been treating the residents of Port Huron, Michigan, out of his private practice called Port Huron ENT, PC. There, Dr. Frank Brettschneider provides a wide range of allergy, oro-facial plastic surgery, and otolaryngolic services.
Dr. Frank Brettschneider has received board certification in otolaryngology, oro-facial plastic surgery, and otolaryngolic allergies. He is affiliated with four hospitals, where he provides emergency room coverage. Since 1990, Dr. Brettschneider has handled more than 600 major surgical cases each year. His articles have appeared in such publications as the Journal of the Macomb Osteopathic Association, Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery, and Drug Therapeutics. Dr. Brettschneider has been a Fellow with the American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology since 1999. Since then, he has served as its Secretary, Vice President, Allergy Section Chair, Board Member at Large, and the Program Director for a midyear meeting. The organization has honored him with several awards, such as the Foundation Award, the Governors Achievement Award, and the Presidential Achievement Award.
Dr. Frank Brettschneider speaks English and German. He supports such organizations as the Boy Scouts of America, United Way, and the People’s Clinic of Port Huron. When he isn’t working, Dr. Brettschneider enjoys traveling, tennis, hiking, and boating. Read Less
