Tallulah Gray's Identity

Assignment: Create a organic juice brand. Beyond naming the brand, create a visual brand identity and
implement it through its packaging. Additional applications of the brand are optional.

Implementation: Organic juice is so enticing almost entirely because of its simplicity- in a world of high fructose
corn syrup, artificial coloring, and mysterious hormones, it is refreshing to see a product that is nothing but actually-squeezed fruit. As I am often inspired by geography and local color, I was initially captivated by the comparison of this enticement with the American southern plantation lifestyle. This is how I created Tallulah Gray’s, a juice that is so lacking in ingredients that it boasts on its bottle that it is, “Made with real fruit, southern love, and absolutely nothing else” in a truly sassy, Southern tone. In keeping with the femininity of the brand, I first created a series of delicately hand drawn line illustrations to represent the fruit flavors of each juice and then painted watercolor splotches in the hues of these fruits at their most vibrant state to color these illustrations, albeit a bit out of the lines. From the hand type logo to the bushel basket treatment of the 4-pack container, everything about Tallulah Gray’s recalls the ideals of the romanticized, and simple southern lifestyle.
