We combined the menpō and the onna-bugeisha ideologies into a modern accessory. ōnna is a mask worn with ease and honour. It is timeless attitude and respect.

In ancient Japan, the Samurai wore masks that served two purposes simultaneously. They protected their wearer as well as symbolized an attitude. These masks were called menpō. Far less known than the legvendary samurai is the onna-bugeisha. This was the name given to women who exemplified honourable traits. Martial arts, wisdom, courage and charisma. An onna-bugeisha was not only a highly respected warrior, she also protected her family, house and community using any means necessary.
