I served as Art Lead in the creation of the painted title sequence for Dustin Lance Black's film "Virginia." Other artists on the project were, Huy Vu, Mary Blankenburg, Joe McMurrian, Stephen Bodin and Traci Cook. Chel White directed this title sequence as well as the FX for the film which was executive produced by Gus Van Sant. The entire title sequence was composited by Brian Kinkley.

This scene started out as an acrylic painting by Mary Blankenburg. The art direction changed after her painting was digitized and I opened the image in #Artrage and painted over it to meet the new requirements. I particularly enjoyed creating custom brush tools on this scene with which I painted the many layered hanging willow fronds. #Wacom #Cintiq
