Non-profit War Child empowers children and young people in war-effected areas through community-based arts and music programs. The organization's brand is gaining ground both nationally and internationally - and they wanted their online presence to enhance this.

Within 1 month, I concepted and managed an online campaign to complement offline sales of a 'Friendship Box' during the holiday season. While the Friendship Box contained nothing but information about the organisation and instructions:  the box could be used for future gifts, with a call to action for following recipients to order the box online themselves.

The online campaign was enhanced with a full social media campaign that incorporated e-newsletters, banners and net partnerships, as well as social media tools such as Facebook, Hyves and Twitter that were incorporated directly onto the site. SEA, SEO, and other search engine tools were applied to increase online presence and page visits.

In its two-month lifespan as War Child's first full online fundraising campaign, the campaign site enjoyed over 45,000 visitors, boosted Twitter followers by 300% and online sales totaled 15% of total sales of the Box.

The site won a 'Dope' award for best flash site, http://twitter.com/WarChildHolland was rewarded as a 'Top 10 Charity on Twitter' and ranked #8 in Top 100 Twittergids.
