Lucky's Barbershop is located in the vibrant, colorful, spirited, and richly cultural Pilsen neighborhood in Chicago, with traditional service and a firm commitment to delivering the very best personalized service to each and every client they serve, the place was designed to be a neighborhood shop with a great respect for the community atmosphere of the traditional barbershop.
Our redesign proposal for them revolves around themes from traditional barbershops and were created as a homage to the European and Mexican heritage of the area. We created a custom Old-English wordmark with a nod to the Chicago flag, the letter L was created mixing an old-school razor blade and the number 18, which is the street number this business is located on. We came up with a solution that conveys old-school barbershops combined with a simple clean feel and a distinctively modern aesthetic.
