The Japan Festival is an annual event hosted at Johnson County Community College. This year, the event coordinators wanted a theme that represented multiple aspects of Japanese Culture in multiple advertisement formats. 

The artwork was illustrated in a painterly style to mimic the traditional Japanese artworks of the past. The figure itself is a character from one of the most well known Kabuki plays to build on the cultural influences in the advertisements.
