At the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art
The Queer Abstraction exhibit visited the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art at JCCC in spring of 2020. It celebrated the art and culture of several LGBTQ artists through different mediums, providing a uniquely liberating experience. However, the gallery in which it was placed was rather austere, causing a bit of coginitive dissonance. By adding choose-your-own-adventure style wayfinding, immersive environmental elements and an all-inclusive leave behind sticker book, I heightened the vivacity of the art while maintaining the austerity of the space.
