Brief

For this project, we were required to rebrand a popular South African Heritage Brand. Included in the rebrand was stationery items such as a letterhead, quotation form, business card and an email signature. We were also required to make three social media advertisements and a corporate identity brand manual.

About the logo creation

The new update "Chappies Chipmunk" was created to express a feeling of nostalgia for the iconic brand with elements taken from the first ever mascot of the brand such as the bowtie and top hat. The new mascot showcases a younger and more playful version than the previous logo with new typography that pays homage to the first typography used.
Stationery
About the stationery

The new style incorporates a more modern approach while embracing the white space within the designs. The stationery showcases how versatile the new logo is and how the holding shape can be edited to better suite the stationery elements. The iconic "DID YOU KNOW?" can be seen as a visual element throughout the stationery elements

Instagram Advertisements
About the advertisements

The advertising is more playful and fun with a stop motion- like animation being used to showcase the flavours and new packaging. The overall concept of the advertisements is about "#chappieschildhood" and allowing the brand to interact with the brand audience in order to further push the idea of nostalgia and fond memories of the brand.
