A clock based on Julian Barbour's theory

For my semestral project at UMPRUM I made a clock based on quotation “there is no such thing as time” pronounced by Julian Barbour (British physicist).

The first type works with three individually turning dials where the real time is covered with this quotation.

The second type of the clock reacts to this controversial theory making an attempt to deal with such difficult idea. Time doesn’t exist, “everything is happening simultaneously”, adds this respected scientist. The only things left are the hands moving chaoticly, overlapping or even sticking out of the dial.

We can hardly not notice the ticking, we perceive it all the time – each of us our own way. Sometimes it’s going slowly, sometimes against us and sometimes we feel like it simply stopped.
