Service: Animation
Brief: This brief was to create an animation through After Effects using only type. The kinetic typography had to depict a saying or quote and has to contain audio to support the text.
My Process: I chose to use the song “This is me” from the musical movie “The Greatest Showman”. I chose to use this powerful song about standing up for yourself, not letting other people tell you you’re not worth it and learning to love yourself because of its current importance in today’s society.
I chose a specific section of the song that I could create interesting effects with the text. I used a grunge background and kept a simple colour scheme to keep the focus on the powerful words. For the audio, I recorded myself singing and then synced up the audio with the kinetic type.
