The brief required me to create a campaign targeted at designers to educate them on sustainability and how they could adapt to become more sustainable. The project could be created on any platform. I chose to create it on After Effects as I wanted to create a digital campaign rather than posters or flyers so I could also be contributing to sustainability within my own campaign.
I chose to target student designers which I feel would have more of a benefit as they would be more open to change over professional designers. Since I was targeting a younger audience I felt that creating a video would have more of an appeal over reading a poster or a website. From the beginning I knew I wanted to create a video that represented a text conversation between two friends as I knew it would appeal to the target audience. I used the back and fourth text conversation as a way to represent a previously unsustainable person changing their ways through the help of a friend educating them on the subject.
The use of emojis and bright colours within the video is very eye-catching and helps which focuses the environmental on a younger audience. The portrait orientation of the video was created to specifically to work on mobile devices through social media sites and to also work on interactive billboards.
