KRISZTIÁN ÉDER
Identity design
Krisztián Éder, a young and well-known photographer in Hungary has approached me in 2015 with the request of designing his identity. Krisztián has moved to New York later that year and wanted a very simple identity that is humble and elegant but that at the same time helps him to stand out among other applicants when presenting his portfolio to photo agents. My suggestion was to distinguish himself by presenting a traditional photo album instead of handing over a pendrive, so we created a photo album that contains his setcards. The album – created by hand in limited number – is decorated with his new logo that displays his name squarely on the cover, just like it does on all other identity elements. All identity elements were created in black, white and grey – colors popular in the world of photography that also let prevail his pictures. The unconventional and thus memorable portfolio has achieved its purpose: Krisztián was contracted within a few months after his introduction, he has been living and working in New York ever since, gaining more and more success.
