TOPIC: A COMMAND TO BLESS

BOOK: THOUGHTS OF TREASURE DAILY DEVOTIONAL.

I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it.(Numbers 23:20).

We have a command to bless. As a Child of God, God wants us to bless and not to curse. He wants us to utter words of Blessings or bring blessings that has been ordained by Him to the people. In Numbers 6:22-27 God taught and outlined to them how to bless,He said to Moses, "Tell Aaron and his sons, 'This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:"'"The LORD bless you and keep you;the LORD make His face shine on you and be gracious, the LORD turn His face toward you and give you peace, "...so they will put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them."(Numbers 6:22-27). So, every time they would come together, the priest would say these same words to them.

ln Verse 27, God said and I will bless them. Even though the Lord had already blessed them but for them to continue to walk in blessings, the priest would have to continue to pronounce these blessings to them and God would bless them. Hallelujah. Every Child of God is called to inherit a blessing. The principle is the same and the Bible says In 1 Peter 3:9 "Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.

It is so important for us to understand how the blessings of God works and how to ensure that we continually wallk in these blessings. You see, even though the Children of Isreal were already blessed of God, God still commanded His prophet to pronounce His blessings on them each time they gathered together. This is one of the reasons ministers pray for the people and at the end of every meeting would utter blessings for the people in order to cause the promises of God to be fulfilled in their lives.

If people are not blessed, even though that God has a good plan for them, they might not fulfil it. Go for blessings and not for things. With blessings, you become. Note also that Someone needs to utter blessings into your life, (Hebrew 7 vs 7) apart from you being already blessed.

Do things that will stir your parents or a man or woman of God to bless you. (Genesis 48:13-21).

Words of Blessings are not mere words. According to Hebrew 11:20-21 the Bible says "By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future. By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph's sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff." Hallelujah.

They did it by faith. They blessed by faith, and It has to be based by the revelation of God's word. Not by mere words. It has to be consistent with God's word.

1. GOD WANTS US TO UTTER BLESSINGS(Numbers 23:20)

2. THERE'S A PATTEREN TO BLESS PEOPLE IN ORDER TO BRING THE FULFILMENT OF GOD'S BLESSINGS INTO THEIR LIVES.(Numbers 6:22-27)

3. WE ARE CALLED TO INHERIT A BLESSING(1peter 3:9).

4. IF PEOPLE ARE NOT BLESSED, THEY MIGHT NOT WALK IN BLESSINGS.

5. YOU STILL NEED BLESSINGS TO BE PRONOUNCED INTO YOUR LIFE, EVEN IF YOU ARE CALLED OF GOD, IN ORDER TO FULLFIL THAT CALL.

6. DO THE THINGS THAT MOVE YOUR PARENTS OR A MAN/WOMAN OF GOD TO UTTER BLESSINGS INTO YOUR LIFE. WORDS OF BLESSINGS ARE NOT MERE WORDS.

7. YOU WILL SURELY WALK IN THE FULFILMENT OF GOD'S BLESSINGS FOR YOU AS WORDS OF BLESSINGS ARE UTTERED BY FAITH ON YOUR BEHALF.

AFFIRMATION:

There is no divination against me, no evil omens against me. No Weapon Fashioned against me shall prosper, I am protected from wicked and unreasonable men. The Lord is my shield and the rock of my life. It will now be said of me and of my family, 'See what God has done!'. Amen.
