Each semester since 1986 Burr Magazine produces a magazine targeted to Kent State students, the city of Kent and anyone interested in journalism. As assistant art director, I work with the editorial staff on producing a cohesive style guide and magazine.

Art Direction
The Fall 2018 issue of the Burr centered around topics that typically people avoid talking about. Our editorial staff wanted to force these topics into conversation and help people understand and develop their own opinions. The art direction of the magazine cover focused on the idea that many political and controversial topics can be hard to navigate without all of the information. I wanted to show that there is no black and white opinion and that often the colors do bleed together and that is okay.
