Working as a Visual Design Intern at Digital Pulp, the advertising agency's client needed a creative new system and style for North Carolina Central University website. The designs purpose is to emulate the University's history, power and success as a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
I was given the wireframe designs, page architecture and a basic style guide when beginning designing. Below is the home page of the redesign concept for NCCU. I developed a typographic system which highlights the words that NCCU described important to them as well as creating icons to display the universities accomplishments. Each page is made up of various modules tailored to the universities most populated resources.
After completing the visual design of the home page with an established brand it was then implementing into various pages such as detail pages or articles. These then act as templates throughout the entire universities website.
