Designed user interaction and experience (UI/UX) for Career Simulator - an interactive online tool for high school students to explore STEM careers. Produced wireframes and system flow. Researched content. Supported the design and production phases of the project as well as testing of the system.
Career Simulator provides high school students with the opportunity to navigate through various educational paths in order to discover exciting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) careers. Through a fun graphic novel format, they are able to explore the choices at every stage of the educational system and can see what job opportunities lie ahead having made those decisions. They can repeat the process as many times as it takes to find something that captures their interest. The goal is to expose students to the wide number of possibilities so that they are able to make informed choices for themselves.
The beta version of Career Sim is housed on the You Innovate 21 website which was developed by Scholastic in collaboration with National Governors Association to get young people excited about becoming innovators in the 21st century.
