Radhika is a designer of games, websites, curricula, digital tools and interactive media. She grew up in Mumbai, India and has lived in New York since 2004. She is excited about using her skills and expertise to create remarkable things.

As a graduate of the MFA Design & Technology program at Parsons The New School for Design she focused on exploring games as a medium for learning while combining the use of old and new media to create fun, engaging experiences. Her game Panchatantra, designed to educate kids on the ancient tales of wisdom from India, was exhibited at the Parsons MFA thesis show and the Games for Change Expo in 2006. Radhika’s past experience in design and development of interactive online media coupled with a growing interest in games and learning got her involved with youth related projects at Scholastic, Global Kids and Institute of Play.

Most recently as Game Designer at Institute of Play Radhika collaborated with educators in leading the development of game-based curricula, narratives and digital tools to create meaningful learning experiences for 6th graders of the innovative public school Quest to Learn. As a founding staff member, her work such as Troggles and Creepy Town featured in the New York Times, NPR and PBS- Frontline. Prior to this, Radhika co-facilitated the Playing for Keeps afterschool program at Global Kids guiding youth through the design of games based on social issues. At Scholastic, she designed an interactive online tool for high school students to explore STEM careers.

When Radhika is not creating and designing, she loves taking in new experiences of all kinds - be it rafting, snorkeling or a flamenco lesson. Radhika enjoys playing games, sampling cuisines, being with family, friends and loves to travel the world. She tells her stories through the photos she clicks and her travel blog that she writes along with her husband. Read Less
