Responsible for visual design, layout and development of the initial Institute of Play website. Presented several design solutions based on needs and participated in the selection of final designs.
Being a research based games and learning group, the Institute of Play wanted a space to share it's findings, report on updates and make announcements on a regular basis. This goal was achieved through the Playbook blog which is core to the website. An integration with Flickr enables the Institute to maintain an archive of images of all its activities and publish them throughout the site. The design reflects the personality of the Institute of Play where work is varied and fun!!
Instituteofplay.org is an easily searchable, organized, dynamic and user-friendly website built using Drupal, a content management system (CMS) which enables staff to maintain the website with little training and setup while providing several key features such as the ability to setup blogs and easy integration with web 2.0 technologies like YouTube and Flickr.
