DB Brand Evolution
A brand is more than just a logo; it’s a language, often visual, that establishes a tone and sets expectations. It demands consistency across applications, but should also grow over time, reflecting the growth of the person or people it represents.
My personal brand grew out of my artwork; every drawing that I created bore my signature or my initials, and in time, that became my mark. When I made the transition to digital artwork, my mark came with me, and the earliest version of my personal logo was born.
What you see below is the evolution of my personal brand, starting with the logos that kicked it off. My portfolio website eventually followed, going through seven major versions as my career and skills took different shapes. I’ve also included a few false starts that never saw the light of day until now, but are no less important to the overall story. Seeing this decades-long production in its entirety shows how a brand can grow while remaining rooted in a single, core identity.
