Design Objective:
Create a poster, invitation, and a promotional item that advertises the Hickory Museum of Art Guild Evening for the Arts fundraiser. These items will be used to promote the event and attract a larger audience.
Design Brief:A large mandala is used as a dominant element within the overall design. Using positive and negative space and a bright color palette, the design will appeal to a larger demographic. Within the mandala design itself, there are hints of activities from the actual event (wine tasting, music, etc.). The vibrant colors add visual interest to the overall design and the rhythmic linework adds movement. The position of the colorful mandala against the black background makes the entire piece very dramatic and visually pleasing.
