For this project we were asked to create a beer label and exterior packaging for a craft beer of our choice. Wildside Brewing Co is a fictitious boutique brewery, born and brewed in Perth’s Southern Suburbs. It’s most famous beer, Cheap Thrills, is a fruity IPA that has a distinctive taste of citrus. In a matter of seconds, packaging can inspire a customer to buy a product or not therefore, the main focus of the Cheap Thrills label design was to focus on communicating the essential and to eliminate the rest. A unique label design satisfies the palate and eyes while reflecting the values of Wildside Brewing Co. The chosen illustrative style gives the beer personality, with punchy and patterned labels reflecting the nature of the beer with a playful and bold communication of colour.
