Universal Classic Monsters "Monsterror" Style Guide
NBC Universal worked with us to develop a trend-based licensing program for their Universal Classic Monsters, under the name “Monsterror”, which included Dracula, Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, The Mummy, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Wolf Man and The Bride of Frankenstein. We developed an illustration of each character in a high-contrast, "wood-cut" style with hot hits of color, then created composed graphics that incorporated character names and editorial phrases pulled from the classic monster films. We also created a series of patterns – one for each character and three that were all-encompassing – as companions to the composed graphics.
