Traditional Indian artists usually travel the world for concerts and collaborations with other artists. As part of their tour, they distribute their CD's at the venues which also acts as their visiting card on most occasions.

Most of the CD covers carry the image of the artist with a standard 'Indian Typeface' on the cover. To create an impact, it became essential to add a new identity for them. Use of illustrations to explain the content of the music would help in adding value and also explain to the listeners the content and intent of the music.

These CD's were simple envelopes and not jewel cases and hence production cost was also to be kept in mind when providing the final design for the same. Each CD also needed a label designed for the same.
