BRANDING - PRINT DESIGN - CREATIVE THINKING
Problem
Contribute to the argument for or against brutalism in Britain. Form a unique perspective on the movement and portray it through a brand that aims to capture the spirit of British brutalism and inspire it's target audience.

Solution
The brand, Pretty Ugly, symbolises both the ethics and aesthetics of brutalism in Britain. Concrete ornaments inspired by brutalist angles, shapes and structures will contain sprouting plants and tea lights that symbolise the hope and life that exists                    within these pretty ugly buildings.
Pretty Ugly is a contribution to the argument for and against Brutalism and aims to encourage a conversation rather than persuade. Through printed material that comes in the ornaments box, the brand encapsulates it’s key values and portrays it’s unique                perspective on British brutalism.
Pretty Ugly product’s would be sold in galleries and museums such as the Tate Modern. This is a small mockup and some inspo behind the concept of the display and how I will continue the raw and natural theme through the retail environment.
