Every year, our church hosts a Christmas concert called Lessons and Carols.  It's a beautiful service that combines music, art, and the Christmas story read by members of the congregation.  They asked me to make a promotional video that could be shared on social media and posted to the church's website.  I didn't have any video to work with, but I had many photos from the previous year's concert to work with.  I came up with the idea of cutting out the subjects of the photos in Photoshop, then animating them in After Effects.  It turned out to be a fun way to give life to still photos and make the promo visually-interesting.  My wife, a talented graphic designer, helped with the ending illustration animation.  She gave me design elements, then I animated them into a fun end tag.  We used design elements from the posters and flyers to reinforce the design across all platforms.
