A-level results day
Boring Student was a social network with video content for students about to go to university or just starting university. Unlike many of its competitors, Boring Student told the truth about university life, from teaching levels to the nightlife to the facilities. Boring Student was an internally funded project at Acknowledgement.
My role
I helped decide the type of content to be featured on Boring Student through a combination of research, user profiling and competitor analysis. I took an early version of the homepage design and developed it further before designing all the sub pages, including forums, profile pages, rich search functionality and a blog. Once the site entered into the build stage I helped set up, film and edit several videos, 3 of which are below.

A-level results day
In this video I went down to a college in Hampstead on a-level results day to get the view of the students, parents and teachers involved before and after they received their results. Did they make it to university or not? I filmed this video, helped interview and find people to interview and sort out permissions documents.
An interview with Tom Ford
Boring Student followed 6 students for one year of their university lives, giving each of them their own video diary kit to record their thoughts. There was an extensive casting selection process for the chosen 6 students I participated in. Each student had their own promotional video, below is an early edit I made for Tom Ford.
