The Swiss Post conducted a survey with 10,000 participants in Switzerland gauging their preferences when shopping online.
 
Our team was tasked with the creation of an interactive and visual presentation of the survey results. Visitors should be able to have a fresh look at the Swiss E-Commerce market and learn about current trends in shopping behavior.
 
Analysis of the data and the development of a tailored approach to showing the vast amount of survey data proved to be challenging. A visual interpretation of long spreadsheets makes the content more engaging and accessible. At the same time the visual poll doesn’t compromise in accuracy, but instead conveys the survey results more precisely.
 
Superdot not only transformed the data into appealing visuals, but also managed to create a gamified experience. The visitor has to estimate the answers of the 10,000 survey participants. This creates a unique learning experience where the player has to put himself into the shoes of the average Swiss online shopper. After each estimate the actual distribution of survey participants answers is shown. The player learns about various topics of the survey such as the preferred payment and delivery methods or what articles are most sought after. The performance of the player is measured and summarized in a final overview.
