Partnerships for Trauma Recovery Infosheet

This summer, I'm interning as a social media outreach, design, and executive director assistant for a non-profit in Berkeley, CA - Partnerships for Trauma Recovery provides refugees, asylees, and asylum seekers with mental health care they otherwise would not be able to find.

Working in a small, growing non-profit, I have to wear many hats and be a self-starter. One day, I followed another intern as she went out to do outreach work with local Berkeley businesses. I came across the infosheet that they were using and saw that it was nothing but a huge chunk of text with a photo and their logo. I took it upon myself to redesign this infosheet to attract more potential businesses to help support our non-profit and the cause we are fighting for.

This is my first time using InDesign. After watching a bunch of tutorial videos, I was finally able to try it out hands-on, and actually had a lot of fun doing this! I definitely will try to use InDesign more often for layout and poster work in the future.
