Many Pieces, One Light
Giving Campaign Branding & Design
St. Luke's Episcopal Church
October 2016
I took a freelance gig as a side project for a couple of weeks in October 2016. I worked with Dana at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in San Francisco. They were looking for a complete branding of their 2017 Giving Campaign. The assets they needed included: a logo, pledge card, pledge envelope, informational booklet, banner posters, and address stickers. Their theme for this year's Giving Campaign was titled: "Many Pieces, One Light". Below are some of the assets I have created for St. Luke's.
The Logo
Before working on the project, I got the chance to take a tour of their beautiful church. The interior of the church was surrounded by colorful, gleaming stained glass. On some of the walls were golden painted stars. I combined these two ideas to create a stained glass star, using the color palette of their existing logo. The idea was to create something symbolic that would represent both their slogan for this year as well as the church as a whole.
The Brochure
This was the bulk of the project - creating a 12 page informative brochure that laid out all the service the church provided and how the Giving Campaign would fund the church's future in 2017. I implemented the idea of the stained glass into the booklet, creating photo collages on top of the stained glass.
Pledge Cards
The design of the pledge card matched the design of the brochure - light yellow strip background and navy blue outlined box.
