The second set from the Walking Past project, which aims to demonstrate the continuing influence of a territory's past upon its present. A set of photographs by Mark Jackson and Huw Davies, taken in the last days of Spitalfields Fruit and Vegetable Market, were digitally blended with shots retaken in the same, redeveloped spots in 2013, creating the illusion of people and elements interacting across the divides of time and changing usage. The set has been featured on Spitalfields Life, to whose Gentle Author I am grateful for alerting me to Mark and Huw's photos.
