Testing the usability by think aloud.
The group project was to conduct usability test for the system of IIT Central Library. The system included using the self help kiosk, finding the book physically in the library and then using the self issue kiosk.
The 12 first time users were identified for this task. Think aloud method was used and whole process was recorded for further understanding. Recurring problem were rated and prioratised.
The final output were design recommendations.
The system was documented and problems were recorded according to the 3 main tasks.Interface level problems along with navigation problem were found.
12 new users were recruited for the process.
