Flora Hotel & Workspace
Hotel Flora is a cozy boutique hotel at Grönsakstorget in the heart of Gothenburg. Flora Workspace, a newly developed co-working environment where you can rent desk-space or conference rooms by the hour, was set to open alongside the hotel in december 2015. With this in mind, the owners felt the time was right for an identity refresh that would tie hotel and workspace together. I was lucky enough to receive this dream assignment.
We started with the design of the new logotype, and after exploring different creative directions, we settled on a sigil-type mark that marries the heritage of the building and surrounding neighborhood with the cool, youthful vibe of the hotel itself. The logotype was finalized in a few different configurations to suit different formats and colorways. We also developed a monochrome palette together with an expressive geometric pattern that combine to lend the brand identity an elegant appearance appropriate to the hotel and workspace's design-minded clientele.
With the basic building blocks of the brand in place, we applied the identity to exterior and interior signage, office materials and a new website.
