OBELUS is concept of LED Desk Lamp based on idea of addition of two technologies into one solution
to manipulate with light direction and its intensity.
This principle allows to adjust and redistribute basic luminous flux to provide comfort atmosphere
at the workplace.

OBELUS has 4 basic states:
- light is switched off;
- uplight;
- downlight;
- uplight + downlight.

The main feature becomes possible due to multilayer light guide panel. The typical light guide panel used for edge lit is additionally covered with smart film on both sides (top and bottom).
Smart film changes its transparency / matte properties depending on electric current flow, so it provides an ability to control the light goes through it and, in addition with light guide panel, to manipulate with light distribution in up and down directions.
There is a sensor zone on the stand part which controls both light directions.
It is possible to use these directions at one time having smooth control between limit values by sliding.
