Osprey Tavern is a contemporary American restaurant located in the quaint Baldwin Park. Serving handcrafted creations made from quality seasonal ingredients, the tavern provides local patrons with a place to enjoy great company while celebrating fine food.
We began the website design process by first gathering inspiration from the chef and owners’ own culinary adventures through the U.S. We carried the level of detail and care present in their dishes and décor to their website by incorporating unique ornaments and accent illustrations. This kept the website clean and modern, an attest to their contemporary cuisine, while also drawing light to their commitment to detail.
The website was also designed with significant consideration for functionality. The top activities among restaurant searches done by smartphone users indicated a need to have the phone number, address, hours of operation and ease of making a reservation a priority. We accomplished this by incorporating these details of functionality in the top half of the homepage. We also carefully organized the custom menu pages to allow the client ease in changing and maintaining their website. And with the customers in mind, we crafted an experience on the website that would allow them to sample the atmosphere and culinary inspiration before visiting the restaurant.
