CO-OP VETERINARIAN CLINIC

Co-Op Veterinarian Clinic
Design for a class in architectual drafting
This was one of the first projects we did as students. We had a client that we met at her own facility and she gave us a tour to tell us what she liked and did not like about her current building. She gave us a list of specs that she must have, she gave a list of things that we could not do and did not want. The Instructor added other requirements such as site size and placement, parking requirements, and overall square footage.

From there we had the opportunity to draw and design the clinic based on those requirements as we saw fit. I had a lot of very unique features with my project such as, a manager’s office that had a one way aquarium in it to allow a view of the lobby, a retractable glass wall to allow dogs and people the freedom to play even in the rain, and an all glass surgery room that allowed no disruption in finding where doctors are at a given time.
It also featured a drive up covered front entrance, sound proof glass walls for viewing animal kennels and expansion for 3 additional doctors.
