THE LANSFORD SHED

The Lansford Shed
Single room shed with a view
This project was done for a personal friend. It was designed around several restrictions. There was an existing shed and we wanted to try to enlarge while keeping the same entrance location. We had a tree that was behind the old existing shed that had to be worked around. Finally we need to have enough space to allow for a bench and work area. We decided to create an “L” shaped shed and allow the roof to peak in the middle and basically “cut out” where the tree was. We maxed out as much as we could to the fence line and to the tree to have a large enough shed to gain the square footage for the bench and work area.

NOTES: The drawing had a callout that laid out the measurement of the peak, rafter joists and degree of the slope. Instead of field measuring and building, we decided to only build off the plans as if they were instruction manuals. The precision and fit were far superior to any field measurements that could have ever been taken. This is only a small glimpse of what Revit as a 3D program can do.
