Ações de Atenção à Aprendizagem no Ensino Superior
O livro "Ações de Atenção à Aprendizagem no Ensino Superior" foi produzido pela Editora pE.com em parceria com a Editora PRE para o Núcleo de Acessibilidade da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Meu trabalho contemplou todos os serviços gráficos que envolveram a publicação. O livro é organizado por Sílvia Maria de Oliveira Pavão. / The book "Attention Actions to Learning in the Higher Education" was produced by pE.com Publisher in partnership with PRE Publisher for the Acessibility Core of the Federal University of Santa Maria. My job involved all the graphic services of the book. It is organized by Sílvia Maria de Oliveira Pavão.
O conceito para a capa do livro partiu de meu colega e produtor editorial do livro Rogério Gomez de Oliveira, de maneira a representar o Núcleo de Acessibilidade e seu papel para os alunos que dele necessitam. Dentro de sua responsabilidade em auxiliar estudantes com dificuldades diversas com relação à aprendizagem no ensino superior, supomos que as dificuldades poderiam ser representadas pelo labirinto e, o trabalho do Núcleo de Acessibilidade, pela linha amarela que o corta. / The concept of the cover came from my colleague and editorial productor of the book Rogério Gomez de Oliveira, in a way to represent the Acessibility Core and its job to with the students that need it. Within its responsibility of aiding students with various difficulties related to learning in the higher education, we supposed that these difficulties could be represented by the maze and, the Acessibility Core's work, by the yellow line that cuts it.
O labirinto e a capa foram criados de maneira geométrica. Criou-se, primeiro, uma malha de pequenos quadrados sem preenchimento; a seguir, as "paredes" do labirinto foram formadas a partir do preenchimento de alguns desses quadrados e retirada dos restantes. O fundo foi feito com uma textura suja, de maneira a dar maior profundidade ao labirinto. Todos os elementos foram dispostos de acordo com um grid imaginário formado pelas próprias paredes, formando um conjunto de estética agradável. As fontes utilizadas foram a Univers e Alegreya. / The maze and the cover were created in a geometric form. Firstly a small square mesh was created without fill; from that, the "walls" of the maze were formed from filling some of these squares and deleting the others. The background was made with a dirty texture, trying to give, the maze, a greater depth. All the elements were disposed according to an imaginary grid formed by the walls themselves, forming an aesthetically pleasant set. The used fonts were Univers and Alegreya.
Um detalhe interessante foi a aplicação do labirinto no interior da capa, criando uma sensação maior de sofisticação e, também, maior apuro gráfico ao livro. / An interesting detail was the application of the maze in the interior of the cover, creating a bigger sophistication feeling, such as a bigger graphic sense to the book.
O miolo do livro foi feito de maneira sóbria, pensando, sempre, na legibilidade do texto e sua organização perante o leitor. As entradas dos artigos contam com títulos grandes e chamativos, de maneira a sinalizar melhor a troca de textos. Na página anterior à entrada, que fica sempre nas páginas ímpares, apresentam-se as minibiografias dos autores, que originalmente ficariam em notas de rodapé. Na primeira versão do livro, a página sobre os autores contavam com o labirinto sangrado, mas, devido a problemas na gráfica, o livro acabou saindo sem essas decorações nos artigos. / The book's core was made in a sober way, thinking, always, in the text's legibility and its organization in front of the reader. The entrances of the articles count with big titles, as to signal the change of texts. In the page before the entrance, which is always in the pages of the right, present the author's minibiographies, that originally would show up in footnotes. In the book's first version, the author's page showed the maze bleeded, but, due to issues in the proccess of printing, the book ended up without this decorations in the articles.
Outro detalhe interessante foi a inserção de apenas duas páginas coloridas no miolo do livro. Isso ocorreu devido a conversas com os editores e a decisão de que seria o melhor para representar fielmente o conteúdo do artigo - nesse caso, sobre identidade sexual e as cores das bandeiras gay. / Another interesting detail was the insertion of only two full-color pages in the book's core. This occurred due to conversations with the publishers and the decision of what would be the best to accurately represent the article's content - in this case, about sexual identity and the color of the gay flags.
