Depois de trabalhar com o livro "Um Gentleman em Moscovo", de Amor Towles, fazendo a adaptação da capa inglesa para a editora portuguesa Dom Quixote, fui chamado para criar uma capa em estilo similar para o livro "As Regras da Cortesia", do mesmo autor.
Com a intenção de imprimir a capa com o mesmo estilo da outra através de um fundo escuro e cores metalizadas, buscava-se uma estética que remetesse ao art déco e utilizasse linhas para formar imagens que caracterizassem a história.
After working with the book "A Gentleman in Moscow", by Amor Towles, adapting the english cover to the portuguese publisher Dom Quixote, I was called to create a cover in a similar style to the book "The Rules of Civility" of the same author.
With the intent of printing the book in the same style as the other through a dark background and metallic colors, the aim was to reach an art déco-ish aesthetic, using lines to form images that characterized the story.
