This is a pattern I made a few years back. These little characters can tessellate a plain in 3 different ways. Something I was very proud of back then but didn't really know what to do with, so I let it rest for a while.

Recently I was taking a closer look and I realized these characters could form a cube. It was time to take this pattern for lasercutting and to start playing with it.

The hole in the belly of the character has no use for making the patterns or cubes, but it does add extra options in making other constructions.
