Robotto .'s profile

Lunch Break Warriors vol.2

Robotto (Ottó Szabó) part of the first generation in Hungary which was deeply influenced by the subculture of comics and superheroes. Expressing himself through these beloved fictional characters comes natural to him. He began to create the series called ’Lunchbreak Warriors’ in London, while working at English National Opera as a prop-maker.
All the waste of different kind of materials (metal, stone, glass) were collected at the bank of river Thames and upcycled by him into an organic world during his lunch breaks at work. These warriors are obviously not capable of fighting due to their goofy arms and clumsy body which makes us realise that they not after murder. All they want is to overcome their everyday struggles just for the sake of it. As we all do.
