As part of the final project done in Tokyo, I had to design a fabric that depicted my Sense of Japan. Drawing inspiration from Kintsukuroi,Japanese lacquerwork, I designed this piece for Spatial use.
It conveys my feelings for a land where imperfection is celebrated as the highest form of beauty.
The technique employed is Screen printing with Opal/Devore and Haku ( Gold foiling on cloth). Fabric used is cotton polyester (CP).
