The following are some pieces of fabric dyed at the National institute of Design, India and at the Kuno studio, Arimatsu, Japan. Experiments in basic clamp dyeing (itajime shibori), felting, tie n dye etc.
A collection of cotton fabrics clamp dyed using direct dyes in checks and stripes
Cotton silk ombre dyed in acid dye
Cotton first tied and dipped in concentrated caustic solution. Then opened and dyed in synthetic Indigo to give it a resisted and shrunken look.
Wool resisted with plastic coins/ marbles and felted.
