Snob bar identity

StreetArt agency from Yekaterinburg created an identity and a website for the Snob bar, which is situated in Almaty, the largest city of Kazakhstan. The audience of the bar is wealthy people. And since this establishment is rather elitist, we proposed an identity that turns its back on the rest, and that, according to our creative team, is in agreement with a true snob’s worldview.

With a name like that, the bar’s logo had to be as snobbish as possible. The very graphic solution had to portray the bar’s elitism regarding its audience, a sort of inner circle, which is why the logo is literally facing the bar, and not the commoners on the street. This concept is realized on every medium, including the menu that, when closed, is «facing away» from you, the sign, and others.

From the formal point of view, we believe that we managed to implement a smart embossing, which ultimately works for the insight. In this case, both embossed and debossed sides are the right ones, both are conforming to the overall idea. The back side is also a working surface. This way, embossing becomes the only acceptable expressive technique to use on printed medium for this brand’s identity.

An extremely important detail is that we didn’t only create a web site, but the mechanism as well.
