Ma eum is majoring in Multimedia and Interactive Design at Hanyang University Junior. Ma eum is working towards becoming a motion graphics designer.

 

Soyeong Moon is majoring in Multimedia and Interactive Design at Hanyang University Junior. Soyeong is pursuing a career in motion graphics design.

 

Doyun Kim is majoring in Multimedia and Interactive Design at Hanyang University Senior. Doyun is working towards a career as a UX / UI / BX Designer.

 

The work-flow characteristics of Torso Canvas Software for Fashion Designer are as follows: 1. Analog to Analog 2. 3D Scanning Sensor 3. Expansion of multiple accessory devices 4. Market Ecosystem 1.Take measurements, in order to: 2.Draw the pattern (planar figure) according to the measurements. Repeat. 3. Copy the pattern (planar figure) on the fabric. Repeat. 4: Cut the pattern (planar figure) and sew.

 

Torso Canvas Software for Fashion Designer is a program for fashion designers whom are used to an analogue system, expressed through GUI, and Loading Graphic. Through the software, users would be able to reduce costs, as well as repititious trial and error processes. The output results were inspired by analog similarities, although the work would be generated digitally. By using a 3D scanning sensor, the fashion designer’s work-flow was intentionally preserved to feel as intuitive as possible. The project manifested into a new form of ecosystem, in which patterns (planar figures) are shared freely, and also aimed for the rediscovery or revolution of the planar figure itself.

 

The logo design, icon, and pattern were created in Adobe Illustrator. The designs became sources necessary on UI interface, which was designed in Adobe Photoshop, as well as the overall process. The demo video was created with layers of Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects. The video’s final rendering was completed by mixing music and video transitions through Premiere Pro.
