Biography
Arkadiusz Uroda is a freelance photographer and graphic designer from Cracow, Poland. Uroda is a recent graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts in the discipline of Graphic Design.

Description
Uroda is inspired and fascinated by the many concrete walls, guarded metal gates, and high fences which surround the inner city. During his journeys through towns equipped with just a camera, Uroda discovered that he was more interested in watching the people, even though they are not presented in the work. Instead, the surrounding architectural elements reflect their existence. The people remain invisible from behind the walls, although their presence is still felt.

Communication Objective
The project inspired Uroda to explore the surroundings of gated residential areas. The photographs question what is hidden inside housing estates which are guarded by fences. It is not known. On the outside, we see large sad walls; sometimes concrete, sometimes made of precious stones. The fences and shrubs serve to guard the privacy of the owners and hide their opulence. Uroda then immersed himself into the simplicity, minimalism and modesty of the surrounding objects which have the power of expression and content. Uroda allowed himself to be hypnotized by the densely closed space in the frame. In return, it lead him to contemplate not only for the form and the shape of the subject matter, but also their purposeful function.

Tools used
Lightroom was used to develop the photos with colour, sharpen, and light. Adobe Photoshop was used to make them more clear, straighten lines, cropping objects. When making movies, Adobe Premiere is used to cut, edit, change colours, adjust lighting, lines and perspective.
