DESCRIPTION

Nowadays, industrial lights, definitely one of the most important interior design components turning bars, coffee shops and restaurants into super fancy places. Busho Studio is a small design team specialized in industrial lightings to explore Central Europe's manufacturing heritage and restore the best lamps and lights found in the area. No need to say, their vintage masterpieces are already delighting many stores, restaurants, bars and public spaces.

We created a brand identity that clearly express the studio's connection to heritage, authenticity and craftsmanship but also has a contemporary attitude.

The wordmark, a set of simple monolinear uppercase characters and the similarly linear brandmark are working well together, and create uniformity through the identity's elements, taking their inspiration from the original typography and visual language of the inherited products. A traditional Hungarian Busho mask as brandmark adds rogue personality to the brand to grab attention very easily. Monospaced typeface was used throughout the design to effectively articulate precision and to draw out the mechanical side of their business. Meanwhile, a softening colour scheme made out of greys and yellowish pastel tones helps all the visual elements to appropriately take a backseat to products.

All in all, typography, linear pictorgam set, grey and pastel colours and the selected materials work well to find a spot where heritage, craft, manufacture and needs of our times succesfully coalesce.
